First and foremost I am someone who is passionate about children! I love that I get to spend my days playing with children and that in doing so, I am able to help them become the happiest and best little people they can be!

My journey to becoming a Play Therapist started at Stellenbosch University where I achieved a BSc in psychology and an Honours degree in psychology with cum laude. I then moved to London where I worked with children for 7 years - first caring for them as a nanny , and then teaching and supporting children with learning difficulties and other special needs in primary schools. During this time I studied Play Therapy though the Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapy at Christ Church Canterbury University. I completed hundreds of hours of practical work in another primary school in North London. I have a Master’s degree in Practice Based Play Therapy.

Three years ago I moved back to South Africa and settled in the southern suburbs of Cape Town where I live with my husband and two young sons, and where I work with a diverse range of children experiencing a variety of emotional and behavioural difficulties, to help them REACH FOR THE STARS!

A little bit about me...
